Why: On the surface the two main bands playing tonight are very different in terms of musical style. The Brooklyn trio Vivian Girls are a blend of indie-pop-garage-punk that turn out short and sweet tracks. On the other hand, L.A.'s Ariel Pink is a one man band who plays all of his own instruments, with the exception of drums which he prefers to make all drum and percussion sounds with his mouth. Both Ariel Pink and the Vivian Girls have a great indie-pop sound, although Pink's is a bit more confusing but still equally as good.
