A.A. Bondy has grown his popularity in the Phoenix Metro area quite a bit since he was here last June. I am sure releasing a critically acclaimed album 2 months later in Aug probably had a lot to do with it. And his showing up on Good Morning America probably explains all the "elderly folks" in attendance last night, oh yea... I didn't mention this before but there was a shit tone of old people there last night and I am not talking "aging hipster" old people I am talking retired dudes in elastic waistband khaki pants with a pair of sensible loafers. But they were respectful of everybody there and pretty much kept to themselves so it was all good with me... just odd is all.
As for the actual show is was great, with a mix of solo acoustic songs and full band jams coupled with a pretty much packed house it was a great kick off to the 2010's already jam packed line up of great shows coming to town.
Check out some pictures of Willy Watson, A.A. Bondy and the backing band bros he brought along with him after the break. Check out a few more on our Flickr page HERE and stay tuned for some much much higher quality professionally edited concert footage in the next couple of days!
