This seems like a ploy to grab some of that "Olympic Fever" to me. Supposedly The Thermals wrote it in their tour van in Buffalo NY the night before they were going to... Canada! But I bet that's shenanigans. I guess it's pretty good even if it does sound like the theme song for a sit com based in Canada (but not on actual Canadian TV). Maybe a spin off to How I Met Your Mother, where the Robin/Robyn chick moves back to Canada to be the lead anchor on Canadian CNN (CBC?) and is also trying to find true love, an American made Canadian Murphy Brown for the new Millennium. Take a listen... what do YOU think?
