Boys and Frogs "Lay Your Wet Hair Down"

Boys and Frogs are a good band. We are fortunate to live in a world with them in it. This video might make the AZ State Fair feel pretty neat... but I can assure you that it's not. In fact it's a frightening place with foot long corn dogs and gangs, "The Foot Long Corn Dog Gang" is what they were going by I think.

Wow Boys and Frogs! This is a good god damn video. A lot of time when a band send you their video it sucks. But in this case "really great and awesome" is what was sent. People should watch it, and then send it to their friends on Facebook starting a chain reaction of people watching it and sending it. Almost like a virus or something.

For some strange reason I'm not aware of, just about every good local band has decided to release some new material this month.  I'm not complaining mind you.  We are suppose to be a "local" music blog so when local bands actually make new music for us to talk about it makes our job a lot easier.

Local favorites Boys and Frogs e-mail alerting us to their new song actually got lost in my inbox (sorry, dudes!!!) so I'm a little late to getting around to post this one.  Turns out Boys and Frogs have an iTunes digital release that you can snatch up right now for your listening pleasure.  I really like the new track from the up and coming band.  Frankly, any song that features a glockenspiel deserves to be in heavy rotation in my iTunes playlist.

Tonight In The Valley: Mumford & Sons OR Boys & Frogs

If you were smart enough to buy tickets to Mumford & Sons tonight at They Rhythm Room then I imagine you are probably going to go see that show. If you didn't then I guess you can try to find someone that has a ticket and steal it from them since it's sold and and everything.

But if you want to see see what 50 Cent looks like when he has cancer for $50 to $100 you can see him at the Celebrity Theatre tonight.

If I didn't have tickets to Mumford & Sons I would probably NOT go to the 50 Cent thingy and head to the Rogue Bar for The Wild Complete and EM favs Boys & Frogs.

Tonight you gotta forget about Lost and go see Laarks, with two of Phoenix's best bands supporting... Boys and Frogs and Soft Drink... DUH! Say hi to Dee our newest corespondent as she watches, takes pictures and listens. She might even do all three of those things at the same time!

Tonight in Phoenix: Boys and Frogs with Courtney Marie Andrews @ Lost Leaf

Two of our favorites Boys and Frogs along with Courtney Marie Andrews are joining forces tonight at The Lost Leaf. Show should start at 9:30ish and I expect it to be pretty packed in there considering the quality you are getting and the fact that it's free. So get there several hours early and drink a lot. It's still the Holidays till tomorrow right?

Tonight In Phoenix: PRUSSIA w/ Art For Staters, Boys & Frogs

On tap tonight at the Trunk Space you will find Detroit band Prussia, they sold all their houses for $6 each and went on tour so you better get your asses out there! It's only $6 and you get to see their WHOLE faces, not just their right sides! And super bonus Boys and Frogs are opening for them and Boys and Frogs are tight like a tiger and every time you can here them you should.

Boys and Frogs - "Hearts Over Waves"

It's always a treat to discover great new music and it's always a little bit better when that music is being made by someone in your city. The band Boys and Frogs are a new band that have only been around since January but sound as if they've been playing together a lot longer. I was instantly hooked after only a few seconds of listening to their song "Hearts Over Waves" which you can listen to below.

Boys and Frogs are currently recording in the studio and hope to have an EP out by the end of the summer or early fall.
