Video: Lightspeed Champion - "Marlene"

What a bummer! I am a huge fan of Dev Hynes first album as Lightspeed Champion and have been looking forward to the follow up and the first song from the new album isn't very good at all. Maybe I just need a few more listens.

Lightspeed Champion Announces New Album

If you were as big a fan as I was of the album Falling Off the Lavender Bridge from Lightspeed Champion you'll be pleased to know that Dev Hynes aka Lightspeed Champion will be releasing his follow up this February. The new album, Life is Sweet! Nice To Meet You will be available February 16th, 2010 on Domino. Above you can find a preview of the first single off of the new album "Marlene." I'm not sure what to make of the preview but the video looks bat shit crazy and the song sounds very 70's classic rock.
