On The Calendar: Weekend Edition

It's a busy weekend here in Phoenix. Here is what is happening.
  • Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is playing the Venue of Scottsdale on Friday. Tickets are $25 and show starts at 7:00 PM. Make sure you watch your copy of the movie Swingers before the show to get yourself in the right mood.
  • Mancub, Hello the Mind Control, Cardiac Party, Stellaluna, Towncraft will be playing at Modified Arts in Phoenix on Friday as part of a local showcase from Fizzle Promotions. Tickets are $5 and show starts at 8:00 PM.
  • The Necronauts, Porches, Hands on Fire, and Skinwalkers will be playing at The Trunk Space on Friday. Tickets are $6 and show starts at 7:00 PM.
  • The Expendables, Tomorrow's Bad Seeds, and Underwater are playing Marquee Theatre on Friday. Tickets are $15-$18 and show starts at 6:30 PM.
  • Mitch Fatel will be performing his stand up comedy at The Tempe Improv Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $15-17 and shows start at 8:00 PM. Check this guy out on YouTube he is hilarious!
  • And Two Tacos, James Karns, Leaf, and The Unfamiliar will be playing at Ruby Room in Phoenix on Saturday. Tickets are $5 and show starts at 8:00.
  • Black Carl, Dry River Yacht Club, The Preserve, No Longer Together, and Alex LoSardo will be playing at Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday. This show is being presented by Ear Candy, a local charity creating music programs for kids. Check out Ear Candy's website for more details.
  • Below the Salt, Man About A Dog, and Andrew Jackson Jihad will be playing at The Trunk Space on Sunday. Tickets are $6 and show starts at 7:00 PM.
