THE ALMIGHTY DEFENDERS ALBUM REVIEW 9.2 BEARDS

I have decided to make myself a better human. I am going to do this by writing more album reviews. I have been getting some shit recently for my "lack of detail" in describing the musicality of stuff, instead just telling people if it's good or shit. For me this is personally the "way to go" I think when people write about how something sounds it comes off as inane bullshit that only makes sense to...nobody actually, since the writer is just making it up in the first place. So I am going to stick to my "good or shit" method but pepper things a little with what I think the music "sounds like" but it will mostly be total bullshit...but on purpose.

So let's start the fun with The Almighty Defenders new "self titled" album called The Almighty Defenders ;-)
I just got it this morning and have listened to it all the way through twice. My initial reaction was something along the lines of "This is really good" and upon another spin (via my iPhone) I thought to myself "This is REALLY FUCKING good) and proceeded to force the album into my blogmate Mike's computer (via flashdrive) so he could experience it for himself (via headphones) As of this writing I don't believe he has listened yet but I assure you I will continue to pester and annoy the shit out of him until he does. Now lets get down to the nitty gritty, the good, the deets. What does this mofo "sound" like. Give me a moment while I internally process some analogies/metaphors...OK here goes:

The Almighty Defenders is reminiscent of a scene right out of a movie that doesn't exist but has to deal with how it would be if the devil was allowed into a baptist church to lead the choir with Sam Jackson from Black Snake Moan on guitar. They beg to listened to in a dark bar full of smoke smelling of stale beer with at least one old lady high on meth roller skating around the dance floor. Their sound is fucking dark, dirty and soulful all at the same time. You want to bob your head, tap your foot and get the hell out of there all at the same time.

When it's all said and done King Khan, BBQ and The Black Lips have taken the very best of themselves and smashed it into a dirty bowl of awesome, mixed it with whiskey and poured us a shot. Go ahead and take it.

The Almighty Defenders is out NOW on Vice Records

I hate you so much right now! Are you literally deaf? Do you need someone to describe the literal sounds of the music? Like the BPM's and what chords they used? Jesus Christ why don't you just listen to the fucking song that I posted for the love of god!!!1!

Just kidding, I don't hate you, but I am not kidding about the other parts ;-)

http://www.colonchecker.com/what-is-special-about-nouns-in-english/ Nouns in English are not hard, though many of them can get difficult if you don’t know their irregular forms.
