Go See Cass McCombs Tonight

I would imagine that tonights show at yea old Crescent Ballroom is going to be pretty much the same except that Sharon Van Etten probably won't play her own song after a quick edit. In fact I am almost certain she won't be there at all. I guess there is always the chance that she WILL be there, just like there is a chance I am going to walk again. I am not holding my breath for either though.

The above paragraph was all material I am working on for my one man show entitled "If Jason Street from Friday Night Lights was a music blogger now".

Tickets are $12 HERE

Cass McCombs "County Line"

Cass McCombs' new album Wit's End is definitely in my top ten for 2011, I listened to it for 6 hours straight driving from Anaheim to San Francisco last month.

You might think that such a mellow album would spell trouble for someone with narcolepsy on such a boring ass drive. But what you are forgetting is how easy it is to get crystal meth in central California. Do your research man, it's called pride... have some, it's free with a little hard work.

Video: Cass McCombs - "The Executioner's Song"

Here is the second video from Cass McCombs' wonderful album Catacombs. The first video, for the song "You Saved My Life", was a bit of a snooze fest and to be honest this video is also short of any Michael Bay type action. But, just like all of the songs on the album "The Executioner's Song" is really good. So here you are. Enjoy!

The album Catacombs is available now from Domino.
