Pretty cool day right? You got your new Miniature Tigers, Andrew Bird, White Rabbits, Bowerbirds, Said the Whale and Yellow Ostrich. There are also non animal named bands as well, like Xiu Xiu, Nurse With Wound and The Magnetic Fields.

A lot has happened since last Tuesday... I won 17 TRILLION dollars in the lottery and I now live on the moon in a space bubble made out of the tears of wood elfs. So you can excuse me if I find this weeks list of new albums a little under whelming compared to the last couple of weeks. I guess Bjork is pretty cool and I DO love me some Andrew Bird... maybe I will beam them up here for an impromptu moon concert... Tupac would get a kick out of it I bet!

The song "Fitz and the Dizzyspells" appears on the album Noble Beast available now on Fat Possum.

New Music Tuesday: Bon Iver, Animal Collective

It's been a while since any new and interesting music has been released, but luckily for us there is some awesome stuff being released today. On the top of my list is Bon Iver's new EP Blood Bank. Also available today is the CD release of Animal Collective's Merriweather Post Pavilion, which if you read this blog you'll know that this album has already been declared album of the year by Shawn. Other new albums worth checking out include Antony & The Johnsons' The Crying Light, Andrew Bird's Noble Beast, and A.C. Newman's Get Guilty.

Definitely some great stuff worth checking out.
