Videos: Dawes & The Morning Benders On Yourstru.ly

If someone said to me "Hey Shawn, are Dawes and The Morning Benders two really great bands you saw live in the last 6 months?" I would say "Yea sure, why?" they would then say "Oh, glad you asked, they did a couple of videos together for those awesome dudes over at yourstru.ly!" then I would reply "Oh nice bro! Thanks for the heads up, I am totally going to post them, I bet they are totally rad!"

Deer Tick, Delta Spirit & Dawes Start New Band MG&V

Some of the bros from some pretty sweet bands decided to temporarily ditch their own bands and start a new band. MG&V stands for McCauley, Goldsmith, and Vasquez...That would be John McCauley, frontman of Deer Tick, Taylor Goldsmith, frontman of Dawes and Matt Vasquez, frontman of Delta Spirit.

It will be interesting to see if they are going to go with the same sound they already have or just take it in a whole new direction. Do you think they will end up getting in a fight with Monsters of Folk? Who do you think would win?

No music or anything yet but I am sure there will be something on the youtubes after the debut themselves at SXSW. They DO have a twitter page though... HERE

Tonight In Phoenix: Dawes/Cory Chisel & The Wandering Sons/Jason Boesel

There are a few different shows going on tonight but my money is on the Dawes show tonight at The Rhythm Room. Why you ask? Well I like Dawes and I want to go see them play... is my curt riposte to your inane questioning.

Tickets are a reasonable $10,you can get them HERE, the show starts at 8pm and it's all ages.
