Holy bejesus there is a ton of good shit out today! Lot's of crap out too that we won't mention (Weezer/Brandon Flowers/Linkin Park) too. If there isn't at least 3 albums out today then you probably hate music and I wonder why you are reading this. J. Tillman's New Album Will Probably Be Good... And Beardy

Wow, J. Tillman has another album out already. Not a bad thing just a surprising thing is all. Actually it's NOT surprising. What is surprising is that he doesn't already have a couple out this year already.

Three Sisters is the first track released (maybe) from Singing Ax, out Sept 14th on Western Vinyl. He is going on a tour that isn't coming to Phoenix (or those Tucson bastards!), now that IS surprising since there was a pretty good turn out and a mighty favorable reception last year for his show at Modified.

Now we just need to get that new Fleet Foxes album before everyone's beard get to long to sing properly.

Damn fine evening of entertainment last night down at the old Modified Arts. What Laura Says put on a stripped down acoustic set re creating their sounds in some very interesting ways that I can't properly explain... so I won't, you just had to be there. Pearly Gates Music (Zach Tillman) was phenomenal and I wish I would have remembered to buy a copy of his EP before I left but I didn't have to pay the price. J Tillman was great as expected even if some of the full band songs seamed a little repetitive they were at least repeating something good, and with moxy! Before joining the Fleet Foxes as their drummer J Tillman had a successful solo career and will be releasing another solo album this September. The new album, called Year In The Kingdom, will be released on Western Vinyl. Take a listen to the awesome track from the new album "Earthly Bodies".
