The National Live In NYC Via MTV?

Who doesn't love some high production value concert footage from great bands? I don't... not love that? What? Unfortunately we have to sometimes get that kind of stuff from the bowels of Satan himself... MTV. But whatevs, I will take it where I can get it. On a related note, did you know that MTV2 currently in 2011, for several hours in a row play the sitcom Martin, starring Martin Lawrence... this is on the channel that could be playing videos of awesome bands like The National on actual TV rather than the internet, but instead they choose to play Martin? A show that was on from 1992 to 1997, WTF? I get that watching a bunch of retarded over tanned whores acting like whores will attract a larger viewership than the latest video from Cut Copy, but re-runs of Martin... insulting.
