Video: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. - "We Almost Lost Detroit"

Oh, hi. Remember me? I used to post here all the time. Anyways, now that one of my favorite songs of 2011 has a proper video I couldn't help but share. It's not a great video, I generally don't like videos with a bunch of random people lip-syncing the words of the song because they just look awkward doing it. On the plus side, though, this video does do a nice job of showing off the city of Detroit - which I predict will be the new Portland in a few years.

I am very pro Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. You want to know how you would know that? I first wrote about them all the way back on Aug 4th 2010! That is like 800 blog years! They were hardly even bluzzable then but I did it anyway, because I am a maverick, a loose canon even!

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. are playing tonight at The Rhythm Room right here in Phoenix AZ. I expect that this show will be well attended seeing as they are quite the buzzworthy band that is very worth of said buzz. I have every intention of going as long as I can get my foot out of this bear trap in time. Can you call 911 from the internet? I guess it does't matter, they will never find me down in this ravine anyway.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. New Album Is Called "It's A Corporate World"

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. just announced their debut full length album It's A Corporate World. I expect it to be pretty great. Because I am an optimist at heart, buried deep below the hard crust of cynicism and bacon fat. But as good as I expect the album to be why are they not playing here in Phoenix? They are driving from California to Austin and there is a whole day in there called March 15th that they could stop here and play songs. I would pay them upwards of $27 to play at my house. I even have beer left over from New Years Eve!

I love this song. This is a really great song. Do you think they are really on top of a mountain or are they using greenscreen? I bet the are on top of a mountain. If there is one thing you can count on it's Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. keeping it real. Do you think Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Hotwheels are going to sue?

Oh shit... if you wait till the end they are clearly using a green screen. AND the even say "green screening" at the beginning and end in fancy 80's lettering. Well my day is ruined.

I am really digging this song from Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. It's very "Inceptionie" with their shared dream state etc... If there was a band called Freddie Prinze Jr. Jr. their shared dream video would be about killing yourself I bet.
