Kinchmas Tonight @ The Rhythm Room

Hey people, Kinchmas is tonight! If it is anything like last year, and I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be, we are all in for a great time. There is absolutely no excuse to not go tonight. Unless you are moving and have to pack up your house. Those people will try to make it if they can, but also can't make any promises. Those people will play it by ear.

Kinch, Ladylike, Yellow Minute & Rajiv Patel are scheduled to be there but you may notice the line "AND SOME VERY SPECIAL GUESTS" up there on the flyer. It could be anybody from Abraham Lincoln to Freddie Krueger. I JUST DON'T KNOW, IT'S A GODDAMN SURPRISE OK!

Oh and all proceeds go to charity. So it's a win win win!

Get Ready For Kinchmas

Even if you didn't think you were looking for something to do on x mas eve... eve, you were. Somewhere in the depth of your subconscious you were all like "shit, where should I get drunk at on Dec 23rd?" Well now you know, not only can you get super drunk in preparation for hanging out with your family for the next few day, you can also see some of the best bands Phoenix has to offer.

Kinch is putting on their annual Kinchmas party at The Rhythm Room Dec 23rd, featuring Kinch, Ladylike, Yellow Minute and Rajiv Patel. You can also expect some special guests and other mind blowing surprises!

From now until Dec 1st you can get your tickets for the discounted price of $8. Not sure what they will go up to after that but probably more than that... MATH!

I have to head to The Rhythm Room like RIGHT NOW to see Bears of Manitou and Mimicking Birds so I am going the total cheater route and posting a slide show if last nights amazing Rhythm Room show for Snakes! Snakes! Snakes! EP release show with Gospel Claws and Ladylike. So enjoy them if you are the type of person that enjoys images of this nature.

Weekend In The Valley: Kinch, Built To Spill, Holy Rolling Empire, Bully Mammoth, Ladylike, Melted Cassettes

Here is a fabulous breakdown of WTF is going on this weekend. Your welcome for it all!

FRIDAY:

Holy Rolling Empire at Long Wong's at the Firehouse in Tempe AND they are also playing at the Hard Rock Cafe with Captain Squeegee at 8pm. Not sure what one is first and they might not even be playing at Long Wong's at all for all I know. It says so on silverplatter.info but nowhere else.

On Long Wong's site it says that Underground Cities are playing tonight

SATURDAY:

Kinch returns from their latest tour with a celebration/blow out/mind fucking extraordinaire at the Rogue Bar at 8pm

Seeing Built to Spill would be awesome. Giving good money to Kings of Leon for the privilege... not so much. Especially when it's OUTSIDE at Cricket Pavilion. But if you got the cash to spare and you just leave when they are done AND don't mine the heat... go for it! Then you can just fly to the Rogue Bar in your golden helicopter... Richie Rich.

Ladylike and some bands I have never heard of are playing the Sail Inn at 7pm

Former Friends of Young Americans and friends are going to be at the Trunk Space, if they can fit their whole name in there that is.

Xrin Arms and Melted Cassettes with be at/in the Dressing Room, it's free but you are supposed to tip them I guess. But I would only tip them if it's good.

I think that I need a break from music for a night so I am either going to take a bunch of Lunesta and pass out around 4pm OR go see the sketch comedy styling of Bully Mammoth at Space 55


SUNDAY:

A bunch of crap including Chamber Music, you can read about on Silver Platter ;-)

I made them all black and white because I am getting pretty bored at looking at pictures taken at The Rhythm Room, they should get some different colored light bulbs or something.But that is not something we need to dwell on, let's try to remain positive here. Tonight In Phoenix: Kinch, Bears Of Manitou, Ladylike & Tobie Milford

There are a couple other things going on in the greater Phoenix Metro area but where you need to be is The Rhythm Room for Kinch, Bears Of Manitou, Ladylike & Tobie Milford. I am actually going to try to make it there in person tonight and take a bear poop sized amount of pictures that will be displayed for your eyes in a couple of days. Speaking of bears, I just read Help! A Bear Is Eating Me! and it's one of the best books I have read in ten years. Highly recommend please for you!
