Definitely Check Out Saddles New Album

Perhaps you fancy yourself a listener of fine music? Perhaps you fancy yourself the type of individual on the cutting edge of the Phoenix music scene. If you have heard of Saddles then you just might be one or even both of those two things you think you are. If not there is still a chance to redeem yourself. All you have to do is listen to the Saddles track below and then if you like it. Check out even more songs on his Bandcamp page.

We actually covered Saddles way way back in May 2009. That is like 17 blog years you guys!

Today/Tonight in Phoenix: RIver Jones Pres "The Final Folk Fest" @ Modified

The last time we spoke was Wednesday and within an hour of that post I felt that familiar tickle in the back of my throat that lets you know that you are about to get hella fucking sick. And so it was... I was pretty much bed ridden from Wed afternoon till this morning, so if anything cool happened since then I am sorry for missing it. But today on the other hand is going to be awesome! My old friend River Jones is throwing another (and last) Folk Festival at Modified Arts today. You will be able to visually and aurally experience many many musical artists in their natural habitat. For you pleasure and convenience I have listed most of them all below. The whole shebang get's started and noon and goes till question marks and only costs $8, so assuming it goes till 8pm that is only $1 per hour, but if it ends at 1:22 I will feel cheated.

Saddles - "The Philanthropist"

We here at Electric Mustache are always happiest when we get to bring you brand new music from local artists. Today we have an exclusive new song from Saddles. Saddles is the moniker of Charles Barth, a local Phoenix musician who is set to release his new album Shame On You, Chatterer this Saturday, May 9th via River Jones Music Label. We've only had a chance to listen to a few tracks off of the new album but like what we hear a lot. The music is heartfelt and deeply personal. Enjoy a listen from a track from the new album entitled "The Philanthropist".

Saddles - "The Philanthropist"

The album Shame On You, Chatterer is already available to purchase online through iTunes. This Saturday, Saddles will be performing at a CD release party held at Modified Arts. Free copies of the CD will be given away with paid entrance. Also performing on the show are Courtney Marie Andrews, Gospel Claws, and You, Me, and Apollo.
