Ryan Monroe "Any Way, Shape Or Deformity"

Ryan Monroe might be in Band of Horses but this isn't your father's Band of Horses... this is your grandfather's Beatles, or your fathers much older brother's (Your old-ass Uncle) Electric Light Orchestra.

Band of Horses Playing Phoenix This September with Kings of Leon

Well, that's a bummer. It's been quite a while since Band of Horses have played a show here in Phoenix and when they finally decided to come back they do so by opening up for the suckfest that is Kings of Leon. Guess who won't be sticking around for the headliner for that show.

You can catch Band of Horses September 6th at the Ashley Furniture Home Store Pavilion.

Video: Band Of Horses "Ode to LRC" Black Cab Session

I used to be "way into" Band of Horses "in a big way". Not so much anymore but this Black Cab session points me back in the former direction just a little bit. But that is probably because the song is off their last album and not the new one.

mp3: Band Of Horses "Laredo"

This song is better than the last song Band of Horses song, "Compliments". I didn't really like Compliments. In fact I don't like Compliments at all. Why do I care if you think my butt looks good in these jeans?!?! I DON'T. You are just trying to butter me up to ask me to help you move or borrow money or something. I am NOT going to fall for that shit!

Video: Band of Horses "Compliments"

So because of our April Fools Day joke we're totally late on this but it was worth it. Anyways, just in case you haven't seen this a million places already here is the song "Compliments" from Band of Horses' new album Infinite Arms. The new album will be available May 18th via Brown Records/Fat Possum/Columbia.

Band of Horses Debut Album Artwork

Last week we mentioned that 'Stache favorites Band of Horses would be releasing a new album on May 18th entitled Infinite Arms.  Well, today we get the first look at the album cover and it's fancy.  The photo for the album cover comes courtesy of Christopher Wilson.  We also learned that despite the bands two previous efforts being released on Sub Pop, the bands new album will be released jointly by Brown Records/Fat Possum/Columbia.  Personally, I could care less who is responsible for releasing the album just long as it gets done.

Band of Horses Announce New Album

Many people, including myself, have been wondering for a while now when Band of Horses would be releasing a new album.  The answer:  May 18th.  That according to Pitchfork, who broke the news that the band will be releasing their third LP titled Infinite Arms on May 18th.

Personally, I could not be happier about this news.  Band of Horses are amongst my favorite bands and I only hope that in addition to the new album we get a concert here in Phoenix from the band.
