New Music Tuesday

Man can you believe it? It's been an entire week since Doris came out! Time sure does fly right? But it's time to throw that old garbage out and make room in your ears for a fresh batch of album crops. Organic, NON-GMO, free range albums such as and including but not limited to...

Dent May "Home Groan"

If you like videos full of weirdos then look elsewhere. This video has 100% normal and sane humans and animals doing 100% normal mundane activities in regular everyday locations all edited together in a very reserved and normal editing style. So move along please, nothing to see here.

Dent May "Best Friend"

It's very important to know that this video was shot on location in Jackson Mississippi. Why that is important I have no idea. It must be very important because that is the first thing they tell us in the description. Maybe it's so very important to let us know where this video was made because this is the first clue to some sort of elaborate buzz marketing treasure hunt? I wonder what the treasure is? Maybe it's all the drugs Dent and co. took when making this video? Just kidding, all the drugs are gone already*! Get it?**

* They already took all the drugs already.
** Read the above explanation.

Dent May "Best Friend"

You know how these huge rock stars are... always trying to look all regular and stuff. Like someone as famous as Dent May can just throw on a pair a glasses and go to his local Kroger and shop like a normal person! HA HA HA! If this was real, the photo would be really blurry since there is NOW WAY he would have time to stop running from the mob of adoring fans that would certainly be there. I guess his manager must have used his rummored supermarket managers connections to facilitate an after hours photo shoot. There is no end to the benefits that come from hiring good people.

MP3: DENT MAY AND HIS MAGNIFICENT UKULELE

The fabulously named Dent May has a new album coming out next year on Feb 3rd. Can you believe that we are already almost into next year? Like the sands of the hourglass or something, am I right? Well Dent May has been kind enough to send over a digital MP3 version of the song "Meet Me in The Garden" (not MEET not  MEAT, that would be gross) from the album that comes out in Feb called The Good Feeling Music of Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele. If you ask me that is a very specific album title and I like that in an album title.

Check out the song and the track listing after the break.

Video: Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele - "Howard"

As far as I'm concerned the ukulele is untapped resource in the indie rock community. Exhibit A: Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele. The Jackson, Mississippi native has gained some notoriety as of late thanks in large part to him recently touring with AC Newman and Animal Collective. The song "Howard" is from Dent May's debut album The Good Feeling Music of Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele which is available now on Paw Tracks.

Can't get enough Dent May? Check out his recent Daytrotter session.
