2011 Phoenix Concert Preview

2010 was a great year for live music in Phoenix. I crossed a bunch of bands of my bucket list (I have never seen that movie) like Gorillaz, Snoop Dogg, Slayer, Wu Tang, The National, Vampire Weekend and saw a ton of other great shows. But that was as they say, so last year. It's time to look towards the future. Here is a pretty giant list of everything good that has been announced so far. Wavves King of the Beach On Sale Today

You may not have heard this already OR maybe you have heard this but just don't care because you are weird. But Wavves pushed the digital iTunes release of their new album King of the Beach to July 1st from August 3rd. You may recognize July 1st as the date in the bottom right corner of your computer (on Windows XP) so that means you can buy it right now! Click HERE.

I have only listened to a couple tracks so far and I like it. Makes me thirsty for Mt. Dew though... weird.

"I am so fucking jacked!" Wavves 2010

I guess I really like this new Wavves song. I really like Wavves and all the things Wavves stand for. I especially love Mt. Dew, not the actual drink but the XTREME lifestyle they portray in their commercials. Do they still do that? I don't watch commercials anymore because of DVR's so I am not really sure. So maybe I really like the EXTREME Mt. Dew lifestyle from the late 90's Nu Metal golden age. I guess since they are signing Neon Indian and Wavves to record deals now they are more of a chilled out lofi chillwave lifestyle promoter rather than a "date raping on a skydiving snowboard" vibe. Code Red Diet Mt. Dew DOES go great with a shit ton of weed right?

Wavves are Coming to Phoenix!!!

We are big fans of Wavves so just now learning that they are coming sunny Phoenix I got all tingly in my spine. I just hope I can stay out of rehab long enough to go to the show ;-) Check out the other dates below for people that are not lucky enough to live on the surface of the sun.

New Wavves Video for "No Hope Kids"

Nathan Williams has taken a break from his nervous breakdown...just kiddin, I am sure he didn't have anything to do with this video and is still having having a nervous breakdown. Apparently the footage for the video was shot on the very same European tour of the breakdown. I wish my life was so busy and overwhelming with awesome stuff that I could have a nervous breakdown, get in a fight with my drummer and insult a bunch of dirty Spaniards...but alas I can't even find an embeddable version of this video so you will just have to go to stupid Rolling Stones stupid website and watch it all tiny but clicking HERE. They are going to be playing a few dates this summer...
