Sharon Van Etten "Tarifa" (Live on KEXP @Pickathon)

This is a very Labor Day weekend sorta video right? I guess these are the kind of activities you can do when you live in a place that has trees and temperate climate. But I am not complaining, we can do this on Xmas day in Phoenix when everybody else is spending time indoors with their families. Oh wait... I am complaining. I want my seasons to match up with holidays more accurately to what I see cool people doing on the internet dammit!

Sharon Van Etten "Leonard"

This is a pretty neat video right? If I am not mistaken I bet they used a camera to make it and probably send it to Vimeo with at least one brand of computer via the internet. What an amazing workflow! I even bet they set the video to "Private" at first, then changed it when they wanted other people to see it. Dang they are so smart!

New Music Tuesday: The Beatles, Sharon Van Etten, Bombay Bicycle Club

Here is today's list of albums that are out. I kinda feel bad for all of these people because they are being overshadowed but The Beatles. It's the only thing anybody is talking about today, The Beatles are now on iTunes! But that is OK because The Beatles are the best band ever of all time and space and I will fight you if you say otherwise. So if you don't already have a shit ton of The Beatles already on your iTunes and you just got a $150 iTunes gift card for Veterans Day then you can pick up the boxed set.

Whole list after the break...

New Music Tuesday: Fake Problems, Sharon Van Etten. Dominant Legs

Do you love any new albums out this week as much as Jesus loves baby raptors? I doubt it. He REALLY loved them. You tend to get close to something when you raise it from a baby for the sole purpose of riding it around the war torn middle east. Especially when your dad made it for you.

Sharon Van Etten on Daytrotter

Sharon Van Etten is one of my favorite up and coming musicians.  The Brooklyn singer-songwriter is currently in Austin for SXSW but managed to record a session for Daytrotter.  With all of the music world in Austin right now I'd say it's a pretty safe bet you can expect a lot of really good Daytrotter session in the next few days.  You can head on over to the Daytrotter site, where you can listen to (the download option doesn't seem to be available for this session at the time of me writing this) four songs from Van Etten.

mp3: Sharon Van Etten "For You"

This song is good song from Sharon Van Etten and you should listen to it with your ears but the whole time you are listening to it with your ears look at the picture of her in the tub and KNOW she is clean!

Sharon Van Etten | "For You" (mp3)

I have to admit I'm not too familiar with Sharon Van Etten, but after hearing her song "For You" I'm convinced I need to be.
