New Music Tuesday: The Beatles, Sharon Van Etten, Bombay Bicycle Club

Here is today's list of albums that are out. I kinda feel bad for all of these people because they are being overshadowed but The Beatles. It's the only thing anybody is talking about today, The Beatles are now on iTunes! But that is OK because The Beatles are the best band ever of all time and space and I will fight you if you say otherwise. So if you don't already have a shit ton of The Beatles already on your iTunes and you just got a $150 iTunes gift card for Veterans Day then you can pick up the boxed set.

New Music Tuesday: Sleigh Bells, The National, Gayngs, Cocorosie, Holy Fuck, Japandroids

Holy Fuck this is a good week for new music... I couldn't even fit everything good into that picture up there. In the interest of time I will just make my pics bold and gold... after the break

Tonight In The Valley: Beach House Bachelorette & The Middle East | Japandroids & Avi Buffalo

Well tonight's "BIG NIGHT" isn't as big as it was going to be but it's still pretty big. As I am sure everybody has already heard Frightened Rabbit is stuck in Europe due to the Icelandic volcano (that I am sure was caused by Bjork's bloodlust for our eyes) and obviously won't be playing at The Clubhouse. SOOOO Stateside moved the Beach House show from The Rhythm Room to The Clubhouse, keeping previous Frightened Rabbit support The Middle East on to open for Beach House. Then since The Rhythm Room was available Japandroids & Avi Buffalo were moved from The Trunk Space. This has had the bonus effect of opening up more tickets to the previously sold out Beach House show and even though the Japandroids weren't yet sold out if last weeks turnout for Deer Tick at The Trunk Space was any indication I bet it would have gotten pretty crowed. So a move to The Rhythm Room will give a lot more people a better view and a slightly better sound situation ;-)

All of this shuffling totally crushes my plan of heading to The Trunk Space to see Avi Buffalo before heading to The Rhythm Room to see Beach House so I will just have to take this out on those goddamn Frightened Rabbits if they even decide to come back. But until then I will see you at The Clubhouse, don't mind the fat bearded dude with the camera shoving his way to the front... That's just me.

New Music Tuesday: The Tallest Man on Earth, MGMT, All Leather, Dosh, Nels Cline

Golly gee wiz this week is bound to stir up some controversy in the land of people who hate or love or the much larger group, are completely indifferent to the new MGMT album Congratulations. I for one am on team "Really Like It A Lot But Not Necessarily LOVE or Anything Like That". I will tell you what I DO love... The Wild Hunt from The Tallest Man on Earth.

Even though I have made a personal choice (keep your hands off my body!) to go see Beach House rather than Japandroids with Avi Buffalo & Hooves (goddammit I want to see them ALL) I am a huge supporter of all things Japandroids. It's in that spirit that I post this mp3 of "Art Czars" from this limited edition 7", do with this track what you will. But please make sure one of the things you do with it involves some sort of listening.

Not only do Japandroids have one of my favorite "Japan" starting names (sorry Japanther) their album Post-nothing is one of my favorites so far this very year we are living in. Apparently "I Quit Girls" is a little to "laid back" to perform live but they made an exception for The Tripwire and Brian King played it in some bad ass J-Shorts.
