1500th Post Mixtapes!!! We Did It!!!

Oh guess what? This is Electric Mustache's 1500th Post! Who would have thought we would or could have made it that far? Not me, especially "cuz they're rapin errbody out here" and everything. But against all odds we have made it to 1500 posts (and counting).

As a gesture intended to say thank's, Mike and I made a couple "mix tapes" with some of our favorite songs going back to the start of the blog. Mike and I put together two pretty solid mixes if you ask me. And you should, because I need validation in my life.

I tried to post that DFactor video but Mike got to it before me, but fuck him because I got Ninjasonik, my favorites. I want to be that bearded white guy (DJ Teen Wolf I think) in the video. In fact I might BE that bearded white guy in the video, only time will tell.

There is nothing about this video that doesn't make me want to move to NYC. That being said I think this is a glorified version of a night out in New York... well maybe not for Ninjasonik (they probably didn't even show the best stuff that happened that night), but I doubt that I would be able to move there and be instantly accepted into a "skinny jeans" rap groups circle of friends. In fact I would probably just hide in my 200 square foot studio apartment and cry... like Tom Hanks in Big when he first moves the city.

Free Ninjasonik Mixtape... Stricktly 4 My Hipstaz

I have been "on board" with Ninjasonik for a long time now and when I heard they released a mix tape of remixes of other peoples songs along with some of their own songs and songs they are on along with other people I downloaded it and imported it into my iTunes, then synced it to my iPhone and have been listening to it via my Shure headphones for like 35 mins now. And for 35 mins everything in my life has been 27% better. I don't know if it's because of this mixtape but I really don't think it was because I paid $10 for a chicken Caesar Salad at Boston Market... I am just saying. Download that shit HERE! Ninjasonik is a Band, Not a Rapper (Brooklyn!!!)

I live in Phoenix and wish I lived in the land of Ninjasonik, plungers, scarves and cans of Budweiser. Now I am not saying that we don't have some decent music here but our bands use stages and stages are for pussies. If you can rock a little room with a just a mic filled with New Yorkers you know that your ass bleeds awesome blood. Maybe after the electro war of 2010 Phoenix will turn into an industrial wasteland capable of something so bad ass.
