Yuck "Middle Sea"

Not sure why anybody in their correct mind wouldn't want to watch a tennis themed Yuck video but if you ARE ones of those psychos then turn this website off now! For the rest of us we will be basking in the glory of increasingly angry/ugly men in tiny white shorts for nearly 5 minutes without you. Good day sir, I SAID GOOD DAY!

YUCK "Chew"

New song from YUCK! According to the brief press release that accompanied this song they are going to be playing it for the first time live at Coachella tomorrow. How fancy of them.

Albums Of The Year 2011

So these are not really in any order, in fact you could say they were "OUT OF ORDER!" I found myself listening to an album a lot, then not really listening to it again until I DID listen to it again. Here are the ones I listened to the most, and therefore I guess they are the best of the year, I guess. And again, let me stress that in true non committal Electric Mustache fashion, these are presented not in any specific order, and also with videos instead of album art/mp3s, because video are way way easier.

YUCK "Soothe Me"

I really like YUCK... in fact I like them so much I will probably end up putting their album on some sort of list in a few months. This song on the other hand is good but not great. But sometimes being good is good enough for me. Moneyball is a great example of this rule of thumb. Pretty boring movie but Brad Pitt was very "Brad Pitty" in it so that made it good enough for me to not want my money back. I did want some of my time back though. Oh and Jonah Hill is super unwatchable when he is trying to be serious.

Yuck "Shook Down"

This video isn't going to make me like Yuck any more than I already do. Because I am already at a very high level as it is. It will probably give me nightmares though. Snakes are gross... all kinds of them, especially trouser ones.

You ARE going to have to click HERE to see the video though. It's pretty NSFW and I don't want to get shut down by anybody with the authority to shut things down.

Yuck On Jools Holland "Get Away"

Is the reason the US doesn't have an awesome music show like Jools because we just love karaoke TOO MUCH, so we have to have at least 17 shows about who is best? Leaving only late night talk shows as the only venue to have actual professional bands on TV. Sorry... I just really want Jools Holland to move to the USA and have a show. Classic.

Yuck "Suicide Policeman" On Yourstru.ly

I am so freaking far behind on posting things I want to post. This video came out like 2 days ago or something, maybe even more. I JUST DON'T KNOW. But please forgive me. I have been going to shows every night, then staying up super late to edit photos, then getting up for work at 5:30... AM! And since I do my blog writing at night, I am a little behind. I am about ready to pass out... But whatevs... Yuck is great and this video is great. Hooray for great things! See you at The New Pornographers tonight ya'll!

Oupa "Forget" Live

I was considering doing something for April Fools day but then thought it would be hard to come up with something that wasn't lame. And since I only like soft things I am just posting this video from Oupa, Daniel Blumberg's (of Yuck Fame) side project. It was made in his living room and I think it's very good... no joke.

The Downer Party "County Kids" & "Chicago"

I am really enjoying the heck out of this resurgence of the early 90's vibe. Do we have Portlandia to thank? I am not sure but I am going to thank Portlandia anyway... Thanks Portlandia. I am assuming if it wasn't for you we wouldn't have Yuck or The Downer Party. Sure there may have been bands that existed and made music that sounded like the early 90's, but would anybody have been interested in that sort of thing? Who knows... who knows indeed.

The description for The Downer Party said something to the effect of "Karen O meets Pavement", more like "What's up Letters To Cleo? Where have you been we missed you?"

I mean that in a good way, the BEST way actually... Letters To Cleo were the best!

Now if you will excuse me I have to go watch The Ben Stiller Show and The State on DVD.

New YUCK Track "Doctors In My Bed"

I am pretty much obsessed with YUCK these days. If you were to look at my play history you would see them at number 1 for the last 3 weeks or so. Just don't look at numbers 2-7 ok? I don't want you to see how many times I have listened to Warrant and Dokken! OK?!?! Cool... now that we have that settled, this new track is called "Doctors In My Bed" and if you don't think it is so great then you can meet me by the bike rack after school for a heated argument.

A YUCK Interview Worth Watching

I am not normally one for interviews. I don't like being interviewed, I REALLY don't like interviewing others and listening/reading them is usually pretty tedious. But I am making an exception here for this YUCK interview from Dirty Laundry. Mostly because it's pretty funny and I am kinda obsessed with YUCK right now. So there you have it.

Yuck DO Make A Somewhat Normal Video

This is a much more watchable at work type video from Yuck (except for the vegetable oil part that is like half the video). People love Yuck, I am people so therefore I love Yuck. I am super glad we, as a species can agree on something... finally!

Yuck's Rubber Video Is Hella Gross/Awesome

So Yuck made a really NSFW video for their awesome new song "Rubber". Normally I would have posted it anyway but I have to draw the line and slow motion anal gland squeezing. EVERYBODY HAS THEIR LINES and that was mine. It's still a really good video and you should totally watch it on P4k HERE. There is also naked lady parts so be careful, don't tell mom.
