Miniature Tigers at The Ice House 8/29/2009

Even know the Kia Soul Collective was a 4 day event I was only able to make it down to the Miniature Tigers show on Saturday and I had to leave before Dear and the Headlights. Kia really set the place up in style. Aside from all the Kia Soul promo stuff everywhere they put a lot of effort into setting up a really cool stage with fog machines and tons of lighting. So much fog and lighting that it ended up being REALLY difficult for me with my amateur photog skills to get any good pics. The sound was great and Miniature Tigers put on a great show including their set closer cover of "Mamma Mia". Check out the best of the few shots I DID get after the break, there are a few more on our Flickr page HERE

Woods at The Rhythm Room 8/24/2009

Sorry about the delay on getting this pics posted, horrible boar accident blah blah blah... I wonder if anybody has ever said "Woods gave me wood"? Because half way through the show at The Rhythm Room I had tiny tiny chubs going on. It MIGHT have been from all the hot sweaty bodies smashing into me or the $1.50 Schlitz's I was drinking but I have a sneaking suspicion that it was Woods giving me wood. Check out the rest of the pics after the break and even MORE on our Flickr page HERE

Video: The Mumlers "Coffin Factory" Exclusive

Why do you love Electric Mustache? Is it because of our musky scent? Our great beards? Maybe...or definitely, but you mostly love us for our exclusive premiers of awesome videos. Be one of the first people in the world to see The Mumlers new video for "Coffin Factory" by watching it right up there... at the top of this post. I don't know about you but it gives me the heebie jeebies. Not because of the zombies or anything but coffins make me think of being buried alive, and being buried alive makes me think of Kill Bill, and Kill Bill makes me think of David Carradine, and David Carradine makes me think of dying while erotic asphyxiationly masturbating.

So do you think they have a big zombie problem in California? I bet they do, I heard that if you are bitten by a hooker on Sunset and don't put Botox on it within the first 12 hours you will turn into one, a zombie not a prostitute...maybe a zombie prostitute though.

Video: Lullabye Arkestra talk about "Get Nervous"

One of my favorite new bands Lullabye Arkestra made a little video about their song "Get Nervous". They talk about being nervous and then show you how to get over your nerves by playing electrical instruments in the rain an living to tell about it.

Dirty Projectors Playing Rhythm Room This October

One of my favorite albums of the year so far is definitely Bitte Orca from Brooklyn band Dirty Projectors. Lucky for me Stateside Presents just announced that the Dirty Projectors will be playing The Rhythm Room on October 28th. No word yet on who will open the show but I suspect it will be someone awesome. Tickets for the show go on sale tomorrow(8/28) and can be picked up at Zia Records, Stinkweeds, Hoodlums, or online here.

mp3: Stricken City "Pull The House Down"

I am way to tired today to come up with clever things to say or even nice things to say for that matter. Stricken City are from the UK and their singer's last name is Raa!!! They have a new album coming out on Nov 3rd (just in time for Moomoo Day...Yes!) called Songs About People I Know. Check out “Pull The House Down” presented in pre-recorded digital audio for your enjoyment.

mp3: Daniel Johnston - "Freedom"

Daniel Johnston will release his first new album in six years this October. From the record label:
"On this album, Daniel allied with the musician and producer Jason Falkner, who is known for his own stellar solo career as well as his work with Beck, Air, and Paul McCartney. With Jason manning the boards, “Is And Always Was” was a project that aimed to take the rock and roll symphonies in Daniel’s prolific musical brain and deliver fully-realized and professionally-produced recorded songs. “He possesses that rare individuality that makes the listener wonder where this music comes from,” Falkner says of Daniel Johnston. “It was challenging to make our minds work together but I really found myself immersed in his musical world. It’s a unique place to live, that’s for sure!”
Is And Always Was will be released October 6th on Johnston's own Eternal Yip Eye. On a side note, if you've never seen the 2005 documentary The Devil and Daniel Johnston I highly recommend you Netflix that movie immediately. For right now take a listen to "Freedom", the first mp3 from Daniel Johnston's new album.

New Kinch EP Next Week

I fell asleep on the couch last night and slept like crap so I have been in a pretty pissy mood all morning so when I saw I had an email from Brian, of rock band Kinch with news of their new EP out next week. I went from "pissy" to "tired but not nearly as pissy". I have heard the whole thing and it's four songs of awesomeness. Every new EP or album they put out is better than the last. As evidence of that I present to you the 4th song off of Collars and Sleeves It's called "Tie Me Lightly", I am not sure what that is in reference to but I hope it's about some "not so serious" S&M. Go ahead and click on THIS LINK to sign up for your free digital copy of Collars and Sleeves as soon as next week. Your ears will thank you.

Fun Fun Fun Fest Details

If you are fortunate enough to live in a city that has good music festivals like say for example Austin TX and you also like the type of good music some good festivals have, then you would probably enjoy yourself at the Fun Fun Fun Fest. There is going to be a crap load of talent from all over the worlds various cities coming together to play play play on 4 different colored stages (Apparently segregation still exists in the South?). The festivities are happening on Nov 7th and 8th and tickets are reasonably priced for a 2 day event with Danzig being there and all...that "Mother" money has to be running out by now ;-)

Video: Fake Problems "Diamond Rings"

Diamond Rings

This video is very creepy. It reminds me of that episode of Miami Vice that Tubbs was forced to take Voodoo drugs and then danced around a fire. Here is a clip that is not from that episode but the dancing is still pretty awesome and there is bonus Dennis Farina. Fake Problems should give some credit to our neon forefathers

Dead Man's Bones Know how to Promo!

Normally I am a pretty staunch anti actors as musicians advocate. They list of good (or marginal) actors with horrible shitty bands goes into the almost double digits. And I a know you are going to say that I really like She and Him but Zooey Deschanel is a horrible actress and an excellent singer so she doesn't count. When I heard that Ryan Gosling had a band I thought it was going to be retarded and suck ala' 30 Seconds to Suck (even thought it only takes them 4 seconds) but to my surprise Dead Man's Bones is in fact really good, add that to the fact that I just saw Lars and the Real Girl this weekend and there might be a man crush developing. Cant wait for their debut album to come out on Oct 6. It's called Dead Man's Bones and it smells like THIS

mp3: A.A. Bondy "I Can See The Pines Are Dancing"

AA Bondy at Modified Arts 6/29/2009
I took this picture, I am awesome right?

Oh...there you are, I didn't see you standing there, please take a seat. Funny, I was about to call your office. I have been meaning to tell you about the new AA Bondy album that comes out next week so I am actually glad you stopped by. Oh it's pretty good. Yea, it kinda sounds the same as his last album but you know what they say "If it ain't broke...yadda yadda yadda" Well I also wanted to play you this new mp3

A.A. Bondy -
"I Can See The Pines Are Dancing"

Pretty good right? No, no, I am sorry I can't let you borrow this copy of the CD, I really think you should buy your own, It's called When The Devils Loose and it comes out on Sept 1st. (or Aug 31st if you believe Amazon)

Kia Soul: event with Miniature Tigers, Dear and the Headlights and The Secret Machines

So Kia...the maker of fine Korean cars with 10 year warranties (that you will need since they are worth $5 as soon as you drive them off the lot ;-...just kidding Kia's are awesome) have put together a promotional tour called The Soul Collective that is hitting some of the major cities across the US, with each city getting 4 days of Kia Soul test drives and 4 days of free concerts. Each stop has a whole new group of bands so its really only the cars that are going on tour and not the bands. The Phoenix stop has two hometown favorites on Saturday (Miniature Tigers and Dear and the Headlights) and surprisingly good Against Me! on Sunday with the Secret Machines starting things of Thursday with an invite only special even that you can RSVP for by clicking HERE So get to registering and we will see you these...My driving skills are pretty awesome so when you the bearded fat guy doing burn outs in the parking lots it's probably going to be me.

Video: Dan Deacon - "Paddling Ghost"

I've been meaning to tell my story about Dan Deacon for a while now but could never really find the right opportunity. Now that we're posting the video for his song "Paddling Ghost" I figure now is as good a time as ever.

A few months back Dan Deacon was going to play a show at The Clubhouse in Tempe. My fellow blogger, Shawn, being ever so media savvy decided to e-mail around to see if we could get in to take some photos of the show. Dan Deacon's tour manager said all was good and we could get in free of charge. You can check out Shawn's photos of the show here.

When we got to the show we introduced ourselves to Dan Deacon's tour manager, who was a very nice lady, and much to our surprise she asked if we'd be interested in doing an interview. My initial reaction was no. Not because I wasn't interested in meeting Dan Deacon, mind you, but because we were both completely unprepared to do an interview. But before I could graciously decline, Shawn, giddy as a school girl jumped at the opportunity.

Shawn was pretty confident that we could just wing it through the interview but I wasn't so sure.

Immediately, I start racking my brain for questions to ask that will not make us look like total retards.

Then, out of the corner of my eye I see Dan Deacon start to walk towards us. I start to freak but try to keep my cool. Shawn, meanwhile, is cool as a cucumber about the whole thing. We introduce ourselves and shake hands and make with the "I love your new album."

Ultimately, the whole thing was as huge a cluster fuck as you might expect. Luckily it was over quick. After I asked him if him being from Baltimore meant he was a big fan of The Wire I think he had had enough of us and asked where he could get some good food.

To this day any time I read an interview with Dan Deacon I always look for the question about his worst interview ever and him calling us out. Which is cool as long as he mentions the site by name and we get some extra traffic out of the deal.

Video: Forest Swords "Glory Gong"

The pairing of this video and song has got to the best since the unofficial fan video for Arcade Fire's "My Body is a Cage" set to Once Upon a Time in the West I have no idea where the video came from for this video for "Glory Gong" from Forest Swords but I bet it's not nearly as good in it's original incarnation as it is now.

The Black Hollies "Softly Towards the Light" Artwork

If you are a fan of The Black Hollies and also a fan of seeing album art WAYYYY before the albums they are on come out? Then I have just the thing to make your boring Thursday some very much less boring. Just look above and you can see the artwork for Softly Towards the Light that doesn't even come out till October and if you are checking it's still August so that is like a whole season away. I have listened to the first half of it and so far it's keeping me in the retro mood I have been in all week just fine. I have heard them described as "The Kinks meets The Animals" I don't know what any of that means but it sounds violent!

Video: Those Darlins "Red Light Love"

Hey guys...this video from Those Darlins is pretty great. I like cartoons and I like videos made with cartoons and songs that I also like to listen to. This video was animated by Teddy Gage, I have no idea who that is but he is apparently talented so Teddy if you are out there reading this...you are talented.

Coincidentally Those Darlins self titled album came out this week and even more coincidentally they are playing at Modified Arts on Oct 25th.

Bad Veins coming to Modified Arts on 8/31

Cincinnati's Bad Veins are coming to our very own hot little art gallery/venue Modified Arts on Aug 31 for what I can only imagine is going to be a jam packed, hot n' sweaty evening. If you are not aware then get yourself aware by watching the following video with your eyes and let it seep way down deep into your brain then I will see you at Modified on the 31st...ok?

Beatles on iTunes...soon

Well today is apparently news on old people doing new shit. The Beatles are getting all their albums remastered and put up on iTunes in Sept to coincide with their own personal selves being digitized in Rock Band. What would John L say about all of this if Jared Letto didn't kill him?

[via CMJ]

Them Crooked Vultures "In Studio Clip"

Here is 33 seconds of awesome from Them Crooked Vultures, the clip is for "Nobody Loves Me And Neither Do I". I mean come on, that just sounds fucking awesome right? Am I just an old dork? Do you guys like it? I am really excited for the album that will come out sometime in the future.

Weezer...Raditude, Really? REALLY?

When Satan returns to earth to finally begin his reign of terror and starts deciding what circle of hell to send bands to, I hope for Weezer's sake he takes Pinkerton into account. A shit ton more than their upcoming album Raditude or they are going to be tossing the salads of demons for a long time. "Pink Triangle" > "Beverly Hills"

Kurt Vile To Play Modified Arts This October

As if my calendar wasn't already full enough, here is another great show to look forward to. Kurt Vile will be heading out on tour this fall in support of his second album Childish Prodigy. The tour will luckily bring him to Modified Arts on October 27th. Tickets for the show are already available.

Take a listen to first mp3, "Overnight Religion", from Kurt Vile's latest album. This is definitely one of my favorite songs of the year.

Kurt Vile -
"Overnite Religion"

Video: The Pastels & Tenniscoats "Vivid Youth"

I love when people/bands use old stuff to make new stuff that looks like old stuff. For example this video that looks like it was made in the 50'-70's with some sort of old fashioned camera but unless the people in the video/band went back in time I bet it was made just this year.

Former Ghosts Coming to Phoenix

Former Ghosts is a band led by Freddy Ruppert (of this song is a mess but so am I) with Jamie Stewart (of Xiu Xiu) and Nika Roza (of Zola Jesus) Their debut album Fleurs is coming out on Oct 20th (listen to first single "Hold On" below) but more importantly they are going on a tour and they are kicking that tour off in merry old Phoenix at The Trunk Space on Oct 2nd. We will definitely be there even if my water bill for one month is $224!

mp3: Headlights "Get Going"

Headlight have a new album coming out on Oct 6th called Wildlife and I bet it's going to be pretty good. I really got into their last album Some Racing, Some Stopping so give their new single "Get Going" some of your Monday ear time and let me know what you think.

Video: Music For Your Heart "Unwound"

I just stumbled upon this video and the song is pretty good. Music For Your Heart is apparently the alter ego of Sandra Zettpunkt who is German and possibly already famous there for something but all the stuff on here is in German and I am to lazy to Google translate it. Who cares about a persons past anyway? It's all about the present. She has a new album called Turning Marvel out on Sept 25 via Sunday Service

mp3: Radiohead - "These Are My Twisted Words"

Radiohead may not be planning on releasing any new albums any time soon but that doesn't mean that they've stopped making music. This track, "These Are My Twisted Words", leaked late last week and was speculated by many but unconfirmed until just today that it was in fact a new song from Radiohead. According to Jonny Greenwood the track was indeed a new Radiohead song and they're making it available as a free download from the bands W.A.S.T.E. shop.

Pains of Being Pure at Heart, "Higher Than The Stars,"

For your listening pleasure... Pains of Being Pure at Heart, a band apparently from an early 90's sitcom judging by their picture, have a new single that you can play on the retarded LALA player below. Your welcome for the inconvenience of putting in your username just to listen to a song but that's what corporate fascism gets you these days I guess.

Starlight Mints Daytrotter Session

Not sure how I missed this but I did and I am sorry will you ever forgive me? I wouldn't if I were you. But the Starlight Mints were on Daytrotter last week. They did three songs including two unreleased "Your Love Isn't Real" and "Hold that Tiger" and "Zillion Eyes" from Built for Squares. Do you think bands are actively trying to get on Daytrotter or do you think Daytrotter is constantly trying to get bands to come and record a session? Either way I wonder what kinds of things they offer each other? I hope it involves gallons of vodka and several pounds of flour.

Free Sampler from Lefse Records

Do you stuff for free? more importantly do you like stuff for free that you didn't steel? If your answer is "yes" then today is your lucky day. Lefse Records has been kind enough to put out a free sampler record that you can download by clicking HERE it comes with a whopping 18 tracks smashed full of goodness. Check out the details below.

1. My Summer As A Salvation Soldier 'activismV2' Porir Georg Jonsson is a 22 year old from Iceland where he grew up in a tiny sea village in the northern part of the country, and now resides in Reykjavik. 12 Tonar Records puts out his music in Iceland. Amazing stuff. Record is out November 17th.

2. A Grave With No Name 'Open Water' I discovered the noisy lo-fi entity that is AGWNN on a No Pain In Pop compilation awhile back, who is also putting out Mountain Debris in November. The record will be available in the U.S. in September. Head over to his Myspace page to watch a visually amazing video for 'Stone Setting'

3. The Silent League 'Here's a Star' (Neon Indian remix) Our boy Alan aka Neon Indian remixed this track for Brooklyn's The Silent League whose record comes out Sept 22nd.

4. Emily Neveu 'Swallowing a Swallow' Emily is a multi-talented artist from the Bay Area. This little bedroom demo is a mere glimpse into what is to come. Lefse is excited to be releasing her solo debut in 2010. Emily is also the lead singer/guitarist/pianist/cool dresser from the band Calico Horse.

5. Friend 'What Is It' Jesse Kanda aka Friend, sent us this track a while back and we are hoping to release a 7 inch by him soon. You should also check out Jesse's other project Fantasy Bags.

6. Calico Horse 'Ivory' This psychedelic infused gem is a demo from Calico Hose. One part Emily Neveu, one part Petti from Giant Ears. They are currently working on their follow up to 2008's Mirror. Head over to their MySpace and check out their cover of 'Idioteque.'

7. The Traditionist 'Three Legged Dog' You will only hear this bedroom demo on this comp. The Traditionist has a record coming out in early 2010 produced by Scott Solter and featuring Jon Wurster (Superchunk, The Mountain Goats) on drums, and Petti from Giant Ears.

8. Giant Ears 'Fake Hotel' Petti from Calico Horse created some demos at home for us. His full length is due out in early 2010 and is going to be intense.

9. Julian Lynch 'Two Babes in the Woods' Soon Lefse will be releasing a Julian Lynch / Sad City split. This track won't be on the split, but is quite lovely. This track was written by Julian Lynch & Olga Acevedo, and performed by JL, and Martin Courtney of Real Estate.

10. Julian Lynch & what would become the band Real Estate 'Onward Flour' This instrumental is cool.

11. Boddicker 'Your Smart' This demo was turned in by a 16 year old from Mississippi. He has gone onto record with producer Brian Deck. Lefse is going to be releasing his unsolicited demo.

12. My Summer as a Salvation Soldier 'Monuments' more from our favorite Icelander.

13. Tape Deck Mountain 'In the Dirt' San Diego has been pumping out some great artists lately. We found one too! Their debut record comes out Nov 17th.

14. Neon Indian 'Should Have Taken Acid With You' Our favorite track from Neon Indian's debut LP available October 23rd. Check Neon Indian out at this year's Monolith festival.

15. Cuckoo Chaos 'Slowly Counting Down To Nothing' Just listen. Headphones. It's nice.

16. Phaseone 'Marty & Sonietta' St Louis producer Phaseone is probably best know for his Panda Bear Remix last year, but he can also make some darn fine original music as well.

17. Phaseone '(Only) Reprise' Another track from Phaseone's excellent Thanks But No Thanks, which you can download for free at our site.

18. Sunnybrook 'Willow Whale' We started digging Denton's Sunnybrook after a tornado of blogs posts, and we just might be releasing their debut full length. You should also check related project Sleep Whale from Western Vinyl.

Video: Antony and The Johnsons - "Crazy In Love"

I posted the mp3 from Antony and The Johnsons' cover of Beyonce's "Crazy In Love" just the other day and now here is the video. The song has been a fan favorite of Antony and The Johnson's live sets and is seeing an official release for the first time on the new single Aeon.

Alice in Chains New Album Artwork

This is not our usual fare but Alice in Chains is one of my favorite all time bands of all time but I am not super sold on carrying on without Lane Staley. That would be like Friends getting together for a reunion show with just Matt Leblanc, and I think we all remember what that was like but I am willing to give it a chance, in fact I think I am even excited for it... and hey, it has Elton John playing piano on it.

BLACK GIVES WAY TO BLUE pre-orders start on 8/18 via AliceInChains.com

1. "All Secrets Known"
2. "Check My Brain"
3. "Last Of My Kind"
4. "Your Decision"
5. "A Looking In View"
6. "When The Sun Rose Again"
7. "Acid Bubble"
8. "Lessons Learned"
9. "Take Her Out"
10. "Private Hell"
11. "Black Gives Way To Blue"

Video: The Big Pink - "Dominos"

The song "Dominos" from London group The Big Pink is definitely one of my favorite songs of the year. The video isn't great, but watching it gives you another chance to hear this awesome song.

Lullabye Arkestra sign to Vice Records

Toronto's best married couple band Lullabye Arkestra have signed to Vice Records. Their first release on Vice is coming out on Sept 1st called Threats/Worship and if "We Fuck The Night" is any indication of the rest of the album then it's going to kick some serious asshole and be in my top 10 of the year.

Video: Gossip "Love Long Distance"

I REALLY like the last single from the Gossip "Heavy Cross" like a lot, right off the bat I was in love with it. "Love Long Distance" is pretty good and since the video is some ultra extreme version of the masking fetish that creeps me out more than anything ever I can get on board...I guess.

Video: Bat For Lashes "Sleep Alone" on Fallon

If you have to go work really early like me then you are dumb if you stay up late enough to watch Jimmy Fallon especially since you can get all the good parts on the internet the next day silly...why didn't you think of that?

Carles Has Some Interesting Thoughts on 2k9...bros

Hipster Runoff is there to force us to take an introspective look at how big a douche we might be/are. He/She does have a valid point about the whole Animal Collective thing. And I am pretty sure that the Hipster Runoff show on Sirius XMU is a computer voice right? Does everybody already know that and I am retarded? Why is there not more talk about this? Am I the only one with a Sirius radio? Will 2K10 suck 4evr?

mp3: Almighty Defenders "Cone of Light"

Sometimes talented people can really get on my nerves. I mean come on, isn't being in an already pretty awesome band like the Black Lips, The King Khan or BBQ Show good enough for these people? Do they really feel the need to all form together into a totally separate but equally awesome band? They are like the Voltron of 60's gospel influenced garage rock. I think they are doing it to show off. But I guess I can live with their narcissistic ways when we get songs like "Cone of Light". Almighty Defenders self titled album is coming out on Sept 22nd via Vice Records so you should buy it n' shit.

mp3: Volcano Choir - "Island, IS"

Volcano Choir is the collaboration between Justin Vernon aka Bon Iver and fellow Wisconsin group Collections of Colonies Bees. The Wisconsin super group just released the first mp3 from their forthcoming debut album Unmap, which is out September 22nd from Jagjaguwar.

Personally, I'm very excited for any new material from Justin Vernon and can say that after a couple of listens to this new track I'm really psyched to hear the whole thing.

mp3: Peter, Bjorn and John "Nothing" (Woodhands Remix)

Woodhands complete with a giant keytar remixed PB & J's "Nothing". Why did they do that you ask? I guess they just like to show off. If I owned a giant keytar AND knew how to remix songs and shit I would remix EVERY fucking song ever and walk around with my giant fucking keytar and force people to listen to my awesome remixes.

Video: Girls - "Lust For Life"

No, this isn't a cover of Iggy Pop, but it is another great song from San Francisco based Girls. The song "Lust For Life" is featured on the bands debut LP entitled Album, which is set to be released on September 22nd from Matador/True Panther.

mp3: Useless Keys "Down Threw"

The Useless Keys are a very elusive band. I have been trying to find a picture of their faces for the last 20 mins and I may have found one but I don't think THIS is really them but maybe it is, if only someone would leave a comment letting me know. I just heard a couple tracks from them and I am + 7 liking them. I was told by Michael Bauer that a trip to Phoenix is in the works so I am pretty excited about that. But in the meantime check out their song "Down Threw" that has been on the radio waves in L.A. and that is impressive since they are more bands in L.A. than pints of Chunky Monkey in my freezer (a lot)

New Thao with the Get Down Stay Down "Know Better Learn Faster"

One of my favorites, Thao with the Get Down Stay Down have a new album coming out Oct 13th (spooky) called Know Better Learn Faster and we have the track listing (below) but sadly no artwork yet. So to make up for it you can watch the awesome video for "Bag of Hammers".

mp3: Chromeo "I Can't Tell You Why" (Eagle Cover)

Chromeo are from Canada so one can only assume that they just heard of The Eagles and liked "I Can't Tell You Why" so much they just had to bust out the autotuner and cover it ASAP! Just kidding, I am fully aware that Canada has been aware of The Eagles since the mid 90's and that Chromeo have probably know about them at least since '97.

mp3: Taken By Trees - "Watch The Waves"

Victoria Bergsman aka Taken By Trees will be releasing a new album, East of Eden, this September. The making of the record is almost as interesting as the music itself. For her latest effort Bergsman chose to record the album in Pakistan with local musicians. The album will also be accompanied by a short film documenting the process of making the new album. You can take a listen to the first mp3 from the album "Watch The Waves" down below.

mp3: Brown Recluse "Contour and Context"

I live in Arizona and we are trained from childhood to be very afraid of the Brown Recluse spider because when it bites you the venom eats away your flesh following your bloodstream to your heart then kills you. I can only guess that the band Brown Recluse chose their name from the time some unsuspecting hiker stumbled upon their camp (above pic) and they killed and ate him or her. That is purely a wild and random guess based only on their creepy as hell picture but I have a pretty good track record when it comes to these kind of things...when I was a baby I threw up on Jeffrey Dahmer, or so my mom tells me.

Check out their song "Contour and Context" from their new EP called The Soft Skin (see, fucking creepy) that comes out on Sept 8th. Oh and if you happen to be in or around Princeton NJ tonight you can check them out at Whole Foods playing the WPRB show...whatever that means but I would stay away from their meat department for a couple days if you know what I mean ;-)

P.S. I don't REALLY think they eat people but they might.

mp3: The XX, “Basic Space” (Micachu Remix)

If you don't listen to this goddamn song The XX are going to come to your house (via your dreams like Freddy K.) and eat your souls. Because whenever Micachu remixes one of your songs you really want people to listen to it.
